Workshop Director:
Nancy Griffeth
Professor of Computer Science

I have been teaching at Lehman College and the CUNY Graduate Center for 8 years, since 2003.  My research specialty is Computer Networks and I teach Computer Networks as often as I can.  I have also participated in the Writing Across the Curriculum program and have adapted the Discrete Math, Computer Programming, and Introduction to Networks to emphasize reading and writing skills (of the technical variety.

I received a B.A. in mathematics from Harvard College in 1967 and a Ph.D. in information science from the University of Chicago in 1978.

I have two children and two grandchildren; my favorite music is ragtime; and my husband and I like to explore park areas in New Jersey on our morning walks.

Aron Wolinetz
Master's program at Lehman College

My name is Aron Wolinetz. After studying and working in real estate for a number of years, my passion for Math and Science led me to return to school. I am currently a Masters student in Computer Science at Lehman College. My current research involves coding and parallelizing algorithms to work on the CUDA architecture. I am married, have a one year old child, and a fluffy dog. I enjoy playing ice hockey, listening to Linkin Park, and reading or watching science fiction. I look forward to starting a PhD program next fall and one day sharing my passion for math and science as a professor.
