Harassment, Bullying, Cyberbullying and Discrimination in Schools: Prevention and Intervention (DASA Training)
Effective December 31, 2013, all applicants for Certification are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law.* This training is available only from a provider approved by the New York State Education Department.
Approved providers and NYSED details:
Upon completion of the workshop, the provider will give you a Certification of Completion.
Send a copy of the Certificate of Completion to the Office of Teaching Initiatives, 89 Washington Avenue RM 5N, Albany, NY 12334. Photocopies are acceptable.
Some providers of the workshop transmit the Certificate of Completion to the Office of Teaching Initiatives electronically. Please note that some providers will be offering training that exceeds the six-hour minimum. Also, fees vary from provider to provider.
The Anti-Bullying and Discrimination Prevention and Intervention Training is also offered at Lehman College through The School of Continuing and Professional Studies to register call 718-960-8512 or visit Carman Hall, Room 128 to register in person.
