The English as a Second Language Institute at Lehman College Continuing Education has proudly helped students discover their voices for over ten years. The Institute provides a complete range of programs for learning English, including full-time and part-time programs, as well as private instruction. English as a Second Language classes are offered to students at all levels - beginning, intermediate and advanced. Lehman students are culturally diverse and travel to us from all over the world. In order to meet the needs of the student population, we offer both a Full-Time Program and a Part-Time Program. The programs are specially designed to provide affordable English language study. Students improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for academic or professional purposes.

From Turkey to Thailand, from the Dominican Republic to the Republic of China, from Korea to Kosovo, the ESL Institute receives students with the desire and motivation to learn.
The program is specially tailored to meet the needs of international students. Students enrolled in the full-time program meet the requirements of eligibility for international students with F-1 visas. It is important to know that students without F-1 visas are also invited to enroll. At Lehman, all are welcome to learn.
