The Digital Imaging course involves using Photoshop to edit photos and create digital art such as posters, fantasy scenes, and buttons and other assets for web design. Through use of Photoshop tools such as patch, blur, perspective, and filters such as angled strokes or Gaussian blur, students in this course have created design posters with styles taken from server points in history such as Soviet propaganda during World War 2, the Art Nouveau movement from the early 20th century, and the psychedelic design of the 60's. The course also teaches web design, with information on design techniques such as the rule of thirds and the golden ratio to make aesthetically pleasing web graphics and web pages.
