To carry out its mission, the Alliance has organized its activities into four themes, each of which is represented by a resource team made up of BEA Partners and their representatives on the Steering Committee.
AACTS - Access, Articulation & Counseling for Transitional Students - facilitates student transitions at each juncture between elementary, intermediate, and high schools, and two-year and four-year college; helps students in transition from school to work; promotes collegiality and collaboration on curriculum and other issues between these various school levels. Chairs: Dr. Brenda Bravo; Prof. Charlotte Honda; James Marley.
REACH - Resources, Enterprises, Agencies, Community and Health - recruits community, business and health care agencies to contribute human and material resources for schools and corridors. Chairs: Prof. Héctor López and Dr. Valerie Washington; other members: Elaine Hopkins, BEA Parent Coordinator, and Eugene Adams, Acting BEA Coordinator, School/College Articulation. |
