To carry out its mission, the Alliance has organized its activities into four themes, each of which is represented by a resource team made up of BEA Partners and their representatives on the Steering Committee.

For affiliations and addresses of resource team members, please refer to their listings in the Steering Committee page. The resource teams are:

AACTS - Access, Articulation & Counseling for Transitional Students - facilitates student transitions at each juncture between elementary, intermediate, and high schools, and two-year and four-year college; helps students in transition from school to work; promotes collegiality and collaboration on curriculum and other issues between these various school levels. Chairs: Dr. Brenda Bravo; Prof. Charlotte Honda; James Marley.

FUND - Future Unlimited, Need Dollars - in coordination with PRODS identifies funding opportunities and develops proposals to seek funds to accomplish the work of the BEA. Chair: Marietta Saravia-Shore, BEA Executive Director; additional member: Alan Koenig.

PRODS - Programs, Resources, Operations, Development and Strategies - plans specific activities including conferences and retreats, selects funding priorities, disseminates information about the BEA, and formulates new projects. Chairs: Jules Levine and Dr. Anne Rothstein.

REACH - Resources, Enterprises, Agencies, Community and Health - recruits community, business and health care agencies to contribute human and material resources for schools and corridors. Chairs: Prof. Héctor López and Dr. Valerie Washington; other members: Elaine Hopkins, BEA Parent Coordinator, and Eugene Adams, Acting BEA Coordinator, School/College Articulation.
