The High School for Teaching and Professions
This Program is a collaboration between HSTP and Lehman College. It takes place on the Lehman College campus. Its purpose is to prepare incoming 9th graders for high school– academically and socially. Students get to meet their teachers, students from other grades, and other members of the incoming class while having fun, earning high-school credit, and preparing for the Living Environment Regents exam. |

Pat France, Summer Bridge Coordinator , HSTPI am always happy to see a new group of students about to enter high school. I have "lived" in Walton High School since 1969 and I was one of the initial teachers involved with the Pre-Teaching Program that evolved into HSTP. Our summer bridge program is one of the most successful ones in the city. We have enthusiastic teachers and wonderful interns who will help you make the transition from grade school to high school. We will take you on exciting trips and get you to learn something along the way. If you are having a problem or just want to chat, feel free to stop by and see me. Everybody, have a great summer! |
