Academic Interests: I am interested in Kant’s philosophical system.  Kant’s three questions—What can I know? What must I do? What can I hope for?—resonate deeply with my own craving to understand where I stand.  My work so far has particularly focused on Kant’s moral theory and his treatment of theology.  My broader interest is in the history of philosophy, particularly modern philosophy.  I am currently working on an analysis of the relation between Hume and Kant’s critique of theology.  My current exploration of women in history and study of the history of the women’s movement in the West along with the contemporary debates about the future of the movement is influencing me at this time also to turn my attention to feminist critiques of Kant’s works. I am a member of the American Kant Society.
