Philosopher's Spotlight:
George Berkeley, (Irish philosopher and Anglican bishop, 1685–1753). Also commonly referred to as Bishop Berkeley, Berkeley’s extreme idealism is well and clearly argued in his Principles of Human Knowledge. He also authored a treatise on vision called Towards a New Theory of Vision, which remained the definitive account of the psychology of vision for nearly two centuries following its publication.

Spotlight Quote: "No great name upon earth shall ever make me accept things obscure for clear, or sophisms for demonstrations."
