Lyda Williams

Biology major Lyda Williams ’08 came to Lehman with a big ambition—to help people by becoming a doctor. The challenge and support she got from her professors made her even more ambitious. Now she plans to get her M.D. and her Ph.D. so she can do both research and clinical work on autism.

Daniel Gurdak '07

Daniel Gurdak '07 was captain of the cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field teams—and also a member of the Macaulay Honors College of CUNY at Lehman as well as a double major in biology and environmental sciences. He is currently studying for his master's degree at Oxford University and plans to pursue his interests in the crossroads of conservation biology and ecology. "I found Lehman to be a place to really grow," he says.
