In keeping with the College’s mission, the departments in the Division are dedicated to fostering a stimulating academic environment in which our diverse student population can actively engage in discovering, modeling and interpreting natural and social reality. These activities will be enhanced by the new environmentally “green” Sciences facility as well as current and ongoing collaborations with the New York Botanical Garden, the American Museum of Natural History, health and human service institutions in the surrounding area and with partners in the private and corporate sectors.

Our faculty seeks to prepare students for a wide variety of advanced study and careers through research, faculty mentoring, internships and other enrichment activities involving local and professional communities. The Division is committed to ongoing development of new academic programs, scholarship, community service, and cutting-edge research initiatives in theoretical and applied scholarship.
