Academic Interests: I am interested in a broad variety of factors that influence the well-being of African Americans. I have specific interests in parent-infant interaction and in evaluating the efficacy of community programs.

Research: Acputic properties of African American mother's speech to infants. Empirical approaches to examining the efficacy of community programs.

Honors: Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship; Excellence in Teaching Award.
