Planning and Reservations

General Information

All event requests must be submitted via our online Event Request Form.

For Internal Request

  • An  Internal Event Form must be submitted no later than 5 business days prior to the proposed event date.
  • Choose the date, time, and space you desire for your event. We recommend that you plan alternative dates, times, and space options, just in case your first choice is not available.
  • To help us to better assist you, please enter as much information as possible.
  • Once the Internal Request Form is submitted, our office will notify you regarding the status of your request. If the request is approved, we will place a “HOLD” on the requested reservation, and provide you with further instructions to complete the event reservation.
  • Every event is important to us; please allow 24 to 48 hours from the date of submission for our office to respond to your request.

For External Request

Rates for external events are subject to change based on the event duration and needs.

  • An External Event Form must be submitted a minimum of 20 business days prior to the proposed event date.
  • Choose the date, time, and space you desire for your event. We recommend that you plan alternative dates, times, and space options, just in case your first choice is not available.
  • To help us to better assist you, please enter as much information as possible.
  • Every event is important to us; please allow 5 business days from the date of submission for our office to respond to your request.
  • The College will not store any items prior to, or after the event. These items include, but are not limited to boxes, printed materials, event décor etc.
  • The College will not be held responsible for any items left or lost on its premises prior to, or after the event.

Rates, Fees & Charges

  • Payment must be received in full as instructed by Event Planning & Reservations.
  • Lehman College will impose a 25 percent (25%) cancellation fee on all cancellations, unless written notification is received at least 10 business days prior to the event date.
  • Room rental fees vary based on the Organization type: Non-Profit, Government, Education, For-Profit and Private. For information on room rental fees, please visit the Venue Photos & Pricing link on our website.
  • A custodial fee will be charged based on the event day (weekday, weekend, or holiday), based on the size of the group, space(s) utilized, number of hours required for room up setup and breakdown.
  • A Public Safety Officer fee will be charged based on the event day (weekday, weekend, or holiday), hours, and event size.
  • Per room rented, an hourly energy surcharge will be added to all Rental Agreements.

Alcohol Policy

  • In compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by The City University of New York, no alcoholic beverages of any kind will be permitted to be sold, brought into, or served on the College premises for events involving students or minors.
  • For external or sponsored events, beer and/or wine (only) may be served providing that the client has secured a liquor license or uses a caterer with a liquor license.
  • For Internal events, wine and/or beer (only) may be served provided that the Lehman College Alcohol Policy and Request Form has been submitted and approved by the Vice President of Administration and Finance.

Parking Regulations

Public transportation is recommended as parking is extremely limited and subject to availability.

Lehman College is a Tobacco-free Campus

In accordance with the policy adopted by the City University of New York (CUNY) Board of Trustees effective July 1, 2012. CUNY prohibits: The use of tobacco on all grounds and facilities under CUNY jurisdiction, including indoor and outdoor locations such as playing fields; entrances and exits to buildings; and parking lots. Tobacco industry promotions including advertising, marketing, and distribution of marketing materials on campus properties. Tobacco industry sponsorship of athletic events and athletes.
