This is an area on the Bb main menu of every course.
Here, one can list links to one or more websites relevant to the course.
Alternately, the button for this menu item can be made invisible -- and
the relevant website(s) can be listed in the syllabus or the
assignments doc or, if the external link is relevant to only part of
the course, such as a course doc.
You decide on an ergonomic course design.
In any case, please remember that wherever you list the online link you
must have the complete url and preferably some text to describe what is
there.
First,
go to the website, highlight the url, press Ctrl-c to copy the url.
To add this website as an external
link to the External Links area, click Control Panel, Contents
Area, External Links.
Enter a descriptive name.
Then press Ctrl-v to paste the url into the textbox, having selected
HTML. Click Submit.
To add this website as an external
link to the Course Documents area, click Control Panel, Contents
Area, Course Documents.
Enter a descriptive name.
Then press Ctrl-v to paste the url into the textbox, having selected
HTML. Click Submit.
The user can click the item to see the online file.
