Upload to Bb
Notes:
Filename:
a. Do not use spaces in an HTML filename -- the space character is
replaced by %20: ugly and confusing. The underline _ is OK.
b. Make sure every linked filename is spelled correctly. On your
computer, there is no difference between myfile and MyFile. Online,
there is a difference between upper and lower case.
Folder:
When you link to or embed an image or media clip that is in a different
location on your computer, there is no problem.
But before you prepare a file for uploading to Bb, make sure that the
image or media clip is in the same folder as your primary file.
This is also necessary when you create a zip file.
Bb creates its own folders.
Do not link an HTML file to another
HTML
file on Bb:
This works on your computer.
It does not work on Bb because Bb creates new file names and folders
for each file.
So, for example, add to course document1: see course document2 -- text
only, without a link.
You can link an HTML file to a file on
the Web:
There is no problem when you link to a file on the Web provided you use
the complete url.
www.company.com does not work Instead, http://www.company.com is
needed.
Announcement: create it within
Bb.
