Upload a zip file to Bb
Examples of files that should be zipped:
HTML file with lots of images
HTML file with media clips
Powerpoint presentation
Make sure all files for a zip file are in the same folder.
Use Winzip or PowerArchiver to select and zip them to the same folder.
Upload the .zip file as a document file to Blackboard. Blackboard will
unzip it as the student clicks the zip file.
Note that the student needs access to Powerpoint for a Powerpoint
presentation.
Log into your course. Click Control Panel, Content Areas, Course
Documents, Add Item. The lower part of the screen:
Skip to area 2 Content, click
Browse to select the file, and enter something into the Name of Link
to File box.
Click on the down arrow in the Special Action box and select Unpackage
this file.
Options: not required; they are mostly
self-explanatory. Do you want
to add offline content? Select Yes only if you want to link to a CDROM
which must be on the student's computer. Do you want to add Metadata?
Select Yes and a Describe button will appear so you can add a
description.
Click Submit.
Bb will ask you to select the controlling file from among the packaged
files.
