Simple image editing with PaintShop Pro
1) Open an image file on your disk and make a copy of it, with a
different name, then open the copy:
-
Click File, Open -- to open an image file on your disk
-
Click File, Save Copy As -- assign a new name. You should never edit
the
original image.
-
Click File, Open -- to open the copy you just made.
2) Simple editing: for each action, find the appropriate tool or
menu
option:
-
Rotate an image if it is upside down or sideways.
-
Crop an image to select a smaller area and to discard the rest of the
image.
-
Resize an image to make it larger or smaller.
-
Sharpen an image.
-
Adjust the contrast.
-
Lighten an image.
3) Create a course banner for your Blackboard course:
-
Click File, New -- to open a new file. Dimensions about 400 pixels wide
and 50 pixels high.
-
Find the Text tool. Select a color for the background. Select a font,
the
size (e.g., 16 points), and the color.
-
Type your text and center it.
-
If you like the result, save your banner as, e.g, ENG101banner.jpg and
upload it to your Blackboard course.
