Celebrating Global Service
Thank you so much for your interest in Lehman College’s Office of Community Engagement’s 4th Annual Global Citizenship Gala, a benefit fundraiser for the Lehman L.I.F.E. (Leaders Involved For Everyone) Alternative Break Program. We hope that you will be able to attend in support of a program that has truly changed the lives of hundreds of students over the past 11 years.
About Lehman L.I.F.E.
Lehman L.I.F.E.’s Community Service-Learning opportunities are designed to raise students’ awareness of issues and needs existing in local and global communities, and to foster conscious, effective action through volunteer experiences. The cycle of service continues and expands as students bring their experience back to benefit their own communities, right here in the Bronx and the greater New York City area.

Lehman L.I.F.E. members complete a selective application and interview process, and prepare for their Alternative Break Service Project by performing a minimum of 25 hours volunteering with our local community partners and participating in collaborative weekly training seminars. Since students are required to raise 100% of their trip expenses, L.I.F.E. members learn valuable grassroots fundraising strategies.
