Richard Blot

Dr. Blot is a cultural anthropologist who has written on literacy, language, and social identity. He has published two books: Literacy and Literacies: Text, Power, and Identity (with James Collins, Cambridge University Press, 2003) and Language and Social Identity (Praeger, 2003). He teaches in the Journalism, Communication, & Theatre Department at Lehman College, and is the Academic Advisor to the Lehman Scholars Program for honors students. He also teaches at Macaulay Honors College and serves on the Curriculum Committee and the Appointments Committee there as well.
