Brazil

Since August 2013, Lehman College has been participating in the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) as a host institution selected by the Institute of International Education (IIE) for undergraduate students majoring in STEM disciplines (computer science, nursing, geology, nutrition, etc).

Summer 2014: Currently, there are 12 BSMP students studying at Lehman College. A cohort of 13 students will arrive in June 2014.

Spring 2014: Lehman College participated in the 2014 International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) among 16 institutions selected by the Institute of International Education. IAPP is funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) and focused on building linkages in Brazil.

As part of the IAPP, the Lehman Provost with Vice-President for International Programs and Global Partnerships participated in the Brazil study tour visited several universities, Ministry of Education, and other Brazilian institutions.
