Lehman College Hosts Lecture/Recital on the Music and Poetics of Mexican Migrant Culture
Dr. Alex Chávez, assistant professor of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame, will present two different programs on the music and poetics of Mexican migrant culture at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 in the Music Building/Recital Hall (3rd floor). The programs are open to the public and admission is free.

Cyber Security and Awareness
To promote cyber security awareness, Sonia A. Rai, IT Coordinator for the School of Arts and Humanities, presented an in-depth workshop for A&H faculty and staff during the fall semester. Focusing on developing cyber skills through preventive strategies, the workshop’s interactive approach to cyber-safety developed by Ms. Rai reviewed the "SMART" approach (Savvy, Meticulous, Alert, Responsible, Trained). In addition, a special cyber-safety radio series was developed. The first show aired in October on the student-managed Lehman underground radio station via the TuneIn app. Special thanks to Yves Dossous (manager of the Underground Radio Station, Journalism and Communication) and Barbara Sam (Lehman student) for their assistance. Look for future radio programs including "Artificial and Augmented Intelligence Promoting Diversity, Inclusion and Balance in the Workplace."

The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), Lehman College and the Jaime Lucero Mexican Studies Institute are hosting ongoing immigration relief consultations to assess eligibility for all immigration relief options including Naturalization, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Adjustment of Status, and all other immigration programs.
