Availability of Student Evaluation of Teaching Results
Lehman will make available the numerical results of the Student Evaluation of Teaching and Learning (SETL) on the restricted Lehman 360. Students will receive access to the information after the complete reports have been sent to instructors and department chairs. Instructors play a vital role in motivating students to respond to their surveys. Higher response rates seem to result from instructors reminding students of the opportunity to provide their course evaluation. Please encourage your students to participate in SETL when the survey opens on May 2. It is in the interest of instructors and students that as many as possible participate to ensure that the results are truly representative.
Lehman Scholars Program Seminar Proposals

If you are interested in teaching a seminar next year in the Lehman Scholars Program, please submit a proposal immediately to the LSP Program Assistant, Ms. Wanda Cortez, at wanda.cortez@lehman.cuny.edu. Speech and Hearing Center Campaign
For 50 years, Lehman College has provided state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals who have speech, language, hearing, and/or feeding deficits. Services are delivered by graduate-student clinicians under the close supervision of Clinical Educators. The Center also serves as a research laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students and faculty mentors conducting applied clinical research. Because the Lehman College Speech and Hearing Center is a NO FEE Clinic, your donation provides its main source of sustainable income —enabling treatment and evaluation services, and resources, equipment, and training for our student clinicians. Please consider making a gift today.
Faculty and Staff Publications and Achievements
Professors Aaron Botwick and Gabrielle Kappes have been awarded a CUNY Adjunct Incubator Research and Design Award for 2018-2019! Their project, "Engaging Students in the Digital Eighteenth & Nineteenth Centuries," developed out of their experimentation with creating assignments around students' engagement with digital transatlantic slavery archives. This award will allow them the opportunity to subscribe to additional archives unavailable through Lehman’s library to create assignments in which students will engage with and explore 18th and 19th century digital archives. Ultimately, students will produce a multi-modal essay on a shared CUNY Academic Commons site, written for a public audience.
We are always delighted to highlight the accomplishments of Lehman faculty. If you would like us to feature your work in a future eDigest, please contact us at edigest.provost@lehman.cuny.edu.
