The Academic Center of Excellence The Academic Center for Excellence
The Academic Center for Excellence (Old Gym 205) and the Science Learning Center (Gillet 133) offer FREE tutoring services. Hours for both tutoring centers are Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Online tutoring is also available.

Leonard Lief Library Extended Hours
The Library is pleased to announce that we will once again be open 24 Hours as a study hall from October 12-25. During October 12-25, the Library will offer its customary services until 11:00 p.m. The first floor will remain open as a study hall from 11:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. opening the following morning.
Research in the Classroom
The CUNY Office of Research is pleased to announce the 2017 Research in the Classroom Idea Grant Competition. The goal of the program is to promote integration of authentic research experiences into the undergraduate classroom.

International Research and Education Forum

CUNY Research Relief Efforts for Scholars Displaced by Hurricane Maria
We have initiated a formal relief effort for scholars and their students in Puerto Rico who have been displaced from their work environments because of Hurricane Maria.

Please take note of available federal funding opportunities and requirements, gathered by RFCUNY Director John Tsapogas, if you are interested in providing research support to help the rebuilding effort in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

The Lehman College School of Education Online Accessibility Website
The School of Education has a new online accessibility website that shares recommendations for meeting ADA compliance standards in online coursework. Leslie Lieman and her technology team offer lessons learned, checklists and resources so online coursework is accessible to all.
Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is accepting applications for the 2018 Ford Foundation Fellowships Programs for Achieving Excellence in College and University Teaching.
Lehman Urban Transformative Education Teacher Opportunity Corps (LUTE-TOC) Program
LUTE-Teacher Opportunity Corps (LUTE-TOC) is currently accepting applications. TOC members learn in a community focused on culturally-responsive pedagogy and career exploration while working in high-needs schools, and receive financial assistance while in the program. LUTE-TOC is directed by Traci Palmieri. Dr. Wesley Pitts, who serves as co-PI, spearheaded the development of evaluation criteria, identified topics for Student Learning Community workshops, and helped to develop dedicated support strategies for TOC participants.

2017-2018 CUNY Academy for Humanities and Sciences Awards
The CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences is pleased to announce its 2017-18 award programs for full time Assistant and Associate Professors at all CUNY colleges, schools, and centers.
The Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is the College's chief academic officer and senior member of the Cabinet. The Provost is responsible for all educational programs, as well as for academic issues that relate to the faculty, including appointments, promotions, and evaluations. She also is responsible for preparing accreditation reviews, strategic planning, and the review of division and departmental budgets. Questions?
