New Exhibit Offers Sweet Delights

The Lehman College Art Gallery's new exhibit "Sugar Buzz" offers a collection made up of sugary delights. The exhibit opens on Tuesday, February 6, and will run through May 15. The Gallery will hold a reception for the artists on Monday, March 12, from 5:30-7 p.m.

From a waterfall made of candy wrappers to an assortment of cupcakes made of thread, the installation features twenty-eight artists whose work deals with sweets in its imagery or in its medium. The collection includes photography, video, drawing, painting and sculpture installations. Created within the last ten years, the works offer a range of recent contemporary art dealing with various subjects.
