Members of the Lehman family will gather later this month at the Museum of Jewish Heritage to celebrate the publication of Lots of Lehmans: The Family of Mayer Lehman of Lehman Brothers, Remembered by His Descendants, published by the Center for Jewish History. Over 100 guests are expected to attend the reunion, including District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, who is related to the Lehman family through marriage, and John Loeb, Jr., a former ambassador to Denmark.

Lots of Lehmans is an anecdotal history gathered from numerous Lehman family members, offering readers an inside look at one of the country's oldest and most influential families. The Lehmans' history began in Bavaria, but it was in the United States where they made their mark as leaders in the world of finance, government, philanthropy, and culture.

Lehman College is named after the late Governor Herbert H. Lehman, who was known for his integrity in public service and humanitarianism. Other notable family members include the founders of Lehman Brothers, one of the largest investment houses in the country, a chief justice of the New York State Court of Appeals, a U.S. Treasury Secretary, two ambassadors, and members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
