Lehman Professor Contributes to Leadership Conference

Dr. Olga Zatsepina, formerly a professor at Moscow State University and currently Executive Director of the Russian American Cultural Heritage Center (RACH-C) in New York welcomes Professor Patricia J. Thompson (Education and Women's Studies) as panelist/facilitator of the Women's International Leadership Conference held in cooperation with Columbia's International House. The seven participants were Mujda Amini from Afghanistan, Alessandra Bravi from Italy, Ina Iankulova from Bulgaria, Aida Izadpanah Jahromi from Iran, I-Ching Ng from China, Sabrina Tan from the Philippines, and Sigal Saar from Israel. Held in a conference room at Columbia Presbyterian, other panelists came from the Russian-American diplomatic and professional community who shared their leadership experiences with the young women whose major interests included international affairs and relations, political science, psychology, environmental psychology, journalism, and biology. The visit was capped with a visit to the studio of Russian artist Mihail Aleksandrov.
