"Inside Lehman" has won another bronze Telly award in the 2007 competition—the team's third. This award is the latest in an increasingly long list of prizes recognizing the professional quality of this student-produced series. Assistant Dean Lynne Van Voorhis, executive producer for the series, says she is "very proud of our team, and this award says a lot about their talents."

Founded in 1978 by David E. Carter, a past Emmy and Clio winner, the Telly Awards recognize the best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. In past years, "Inside Lehman" has also been honored with a First Prize in the Alliance for Community Media's Northeast Regional competition (two years in a row) and with an Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards.

"This is a hard-working team of dedicated people who stepped up to the challenge of delivering interesting and relevant television to the people of New York," says Producer Tom O'Hanlon (Journalism, Communication and Theatre). "Given the impressive list of award recipients, we are especially proud to receive this honor."

"Inside Lehman" focuses on events, programs, and issues within and around the Lehman community. This particular award-winning segment (the seventh in the series) showcased segments on the role of aesthetics in education, strategies for beating stress, and the work and spirit of the women's basketball team, among others. Students write and produce all of the segments and are featured on-camera.
