Math Professor to Give Talk on Number Theory March 22
Professor Nathanson plans to give non-mathematicians an idea of what mathematicians do and what mathematical research is, particularly in the field of number theory. He will address simple, unsolved problems about numbers, such as primes or squares. There are no scientific prerequisites for this talk, and it will be accessible to a wide audience.
This presentation is the first in the series of lectures by the recipients of Lehman's 2006 Awards for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Works.
