Jazz Brass Band to Perform April 22 with New Saxophone Ensemble
Featured on the program will be a variety of modern jazz arrangements, from smooth to funk, all for small ensembles. Distinguished Lecturer and noted tubist Bob Stewart will direct the performance. A professional tuba player for over 35 years, Professor Stewart has performed and recorded with artists like Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Mingus, McCoy Tyner and Wynton Marsalis. He has also recorded three of his own albums for JMT and Postcard Records.
