Lehman College Community Band to Present Fall Concert Oct. 21

The Lehman College Community Band will welcome the fall season with "Autumn Amble," its first concert of the 2007-2008 season, on Sunday, October 21, at 2 p.m. in the Lovinger Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

Directed by Professor Alan Hollander, the program will feature trombone soloist Walter Barrett, performing Eric Ewazen's Visions of Light, a concerto for solo trombone and wind ensemble inspired by the photographs of Ansel Adams.

The program will also include Arthur Sullivan's Pineapple Poll, selections from the Broadway musical Annie, Cole Porter's Blow, Gabriel, Blow, Dvorak's Carnival Overture and works by Grainger, Joyce, Sparke and Yagisawa. The band includes Lehman students, alumni, faculty and staff, as well as community members.
