Activist to Discuss the Darfur Crisis Dec. 5

Activist Moshe Rothenberg, a retired New York City schoolteacher and social worker, will visit Lehman December 5 to deliver a talk on the genocide taking place in Darfur. Sponsored by the Catholic Campus Ministries, the talk begins at 2 p.m. in Room 111 of the Student Life Building.
Rothenberg represents the Darfur Rehabilitation Project, a non-profit organization established by individuals from the Darfur region of Sudan. A U.S.-based N.G.O. (Non-Governmental Organization), it came into existence as a result of the crisis taking place in the region. Rothenberg frequently delivers talks and leads workshops on the topic in the New York City area. He also has been instrumental in starting chapters on other CUNY campuses to aid the humanitarian work on Darfur.
