UN Report on the Dominican Republic to be Discussed March 19
According to the report, the Dominican Republic has achieved one of the highest levels of economic growth in the region, but this growth has not affected the quality of life of its people. In addition to an analysis of educational, economic, health, and political conditions at the regional, provincial, and municipal levels, it proposes policies to improve these conditions. At the same time, the report provides data suitable for academic studies in the humanities and the social sciences.
This event is sponsored by Lehman's Department of Latin American and Puerto Rican and the Office of Academic Affairs at Hostos Community College.
