Panel Set for March 18 on 'Women Waging Peace'

Dr. Margaret Snyder
Entitled "Women Waging Peace: Participation of Women in Peace Building Around the World," the panel will include Dr. Comfort Lamptey and Dr. Megh Gurung, who are gender advisors in the UN's Department of Peacekeeping Operations, advocating for women in countries where peacekeeping operations take place. Dr. Snyder is also an advisor to the UN's Intellectual History Project.
The event is sponsored by the Women's Studies Club and Women's Studies Program at Lehman and cosponsored by the Department of African and African American Studies and the Offices of the Dean of Arts and Humanities, Campus Life, Student Affairs, and Media Relations and Publications.
