Cinderella to Make Musical Debut June 26

Professor Penny Prince (Music) will present her latest musical production, Cinderella, on Thursday, June 26, at 12 p.m. and at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m. in Room 306 of the Music Building. Admission is free, but confirmed reservations are required.
Cinderella is the classic reversal of fortune fairytale, whose origins are believed to date back to classical antiquity. Similar tales of a young girl suffering cruel injustice, followed by sweet rewards, can be found in literature throughout the world.
Lehman's production will feature new music and lyrics by Professor Prince, who collaborated on the script with cast members. Professor Prince has already composed several musicals, including Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Dither Farm, a play based on Sid Hite's classic children's book, Rumpelstiltskin, and last year's When I Get to Where I am Going, based on the bus boycotts of the Civil Rights Movement.
For more information on the performance, call 718-960-8247 or 718-960-7796.
