Syrian Newspaper Interviews Anthropology Professor

Lehman Professor Christa Salamandra (Anthropology) visits with Syrian actor Ahmad al-Ahmad on the set of the Bedouin series "Cup of Blood," a historical drama set in the Syrian desert near the ancient city of Palmyra. The photo appeared in the Syrian newspaper al-Watan (The Nation), along with an interview about her experiences in Syria, her first book on Damascus, and her research on the Syrian television drama industry. "Cup of Blood" will be shown throughout the Arabic-speaking world via the Middle East Broadcasting Center, a leading satellite television station headquartered in Dubai.
