Tickets are on sale now at www.lehmancenter.org or by calling the Lehman Center Box Office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and beginning at noon on the day of the performance). The first performance, by Eddie Palmieri, will take place on October 11.
"We can't wait for the season to begin," says PAC Executive Director Eva Bornstein. "Audiences will be treated to a whole new state-of-the-art sound system that was designed specifically for our concert hall."
Other performers to look forward to include gospel singers Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams; doo wop stars The Drifters, The Shirelles, and The Teenagers; Latin jazz musicians Poncho Sanchez and Gato Barbieri; the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra; Grammy-award winner Branford Marsalis with the Filarmonia Brasileira; freestyle performers Judy Torres and Coro; the New York City Opera; and music from the mountains of Puerto Rico with cuatro master Yomo Toro.
In addition, the new season will offer performances from dynamic dance companies like Compañía Flamenco de José Porcel from Spain, the Russian National Ballet Theatre in a production of Cinderella, the Song and Dance Ensemble of West Africa, "Break: The Urban Funk Spectacular", the National Acrobats of China, and the mesmerizing Cirque Le Masque.
Special discounts are built into the new "Create Your Own Series" option. Patrons who select a minimum of three shows receive a savings of ten percent on the total order—or twenty percent off the total order for six or more shows.
