Bronx Institute at Lehman Receives HIP Grant
Developed in 2005 with the help of the Kellogg Foundation, the Institute's ENLACE Latino Collegiate Society helps high-achieving students in Bronx schools prepare for entry into specialized high schools, pre-college programs, colleges, and universities. Graduates of the program are now successful juniors and seniors in some of the nation's most competitive colleges.
The ENLACE Family to Family Guide to Small High Schools in The Bronx was created in 2006 by the Bronx Institute and a committee of parents from the ENLACE program and is designed as a reference for families preparing to complete New York City public high school choice applications. It is available at Bronx public libraries, as well as the New York Public Library on 42nd Street.
Hispanics in Philanthropy's mission is to strengthen Latino communities by increasing resources for the Latino and Latin American civil sector by increasing Latino participation and leadership throughout the field of philanthropy.
