'A Night for Darfur' Nov. 20
"'A Night for Darfur' is very important because it exhibits the consciousness of the Lehman community," says Kenesha Phillips, a member of Student Conference. "We know that there is unjust behavior occurring in Darfur and that knowledge should move us to action. Lehman is home to future policy makers—there is no better place to begin taking action than right here."
The groups will lead participants in lighting a wreath for peace in the Sudan region. Each candle will represent the many areas of suffering Darfur villagers face, such as starvation, rape, torture, looting, and mass executions.
