Student e-Portfolios Make Their Way to Lehman
The plan is to develop ePortfolios as an educational tool that allows students to document academic and professional development, archive and showcase their work, and reflect on and organize learning artifacts in alignment with programmatic goals, objectives, and national standards. Students involved in the project will be able to see the cohesion of their programs through various assignments in different courses. The goal is to increase student use of, and engagement with, technology.
This semester, thirty students from two cohorts will be introduced to the online ePortfolio system "Digication." Professor Janet DeSimone (Counseling, Leadership, Literacy, and Special Education), coordinator of the Educational Leadership program, will pilot the use of this tool in her classes.
