Student Receives Unexpected Windfall

Finance major Maribel Marin, seen here with Vice President for Student Affairs Jose Magdaleno, received a $500 scholarship from the Latino Job Service Employer Committee (J.S.E.C.) for her academic standing. She is only one of five to receive the scholarship. Sponsored by the New York State Department of Labor, the Latino J.S.E.C. is made up of Latino business owners and human resource professionals who are seeking ways to help CUNY in these difficult financial times and assist in workforce development.
