SI Update:
For the Spring 2008 term, 28 SI Leaders are offering Supplemental Instruction review sessions for 31 sections of Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology courses. SI review session times and locations are posted outside our offices in Old Gym 118 and on our website.
SI Newsletter:
The second edition of the SI newsletter has been published and is in cafeterias and offices across the Lehman campus. Look for SI stories, jokes, and activities as well as advice on when to go to SI and where to find the nearest SI review sessions.
Classroom Technology:
Mobile carts with Dell student laptops, Epson wireless projectors, and Lenovo ThinkPad tablet notebooks are available for classroom and SI review session use in Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Click here for more information.
Social Networking:
We now have MySpace pages and Facebook groups for Accounting, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Visit our social networking sites for video, slideshows, and links to course-specific information.
Faculty Development:
We continue to work with instructors to create opportunities for faculty to share and discuss best practices in teaching business, science, and mathematics courses. SI instructors are working with SI Leaders to implement and enhance use of classroom technologies in classes and SI review sessions. Training and support are offered in selected online and classroom technologies such as Blackboard, WileyPlus, social networking, digital storytelling, and equipment such as student laptops, tablet notebooks and wireless projectors.
