Jaci Maurer, Director, Lehman College Child Care Center
Jaci Maurer has been with the Lehman College Child Care Center since 2002, and with the Image Early Learning Center (Lehman’s Child Care Center managing company) since 1993. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education from Pace University.
The Child Care Center provides an environment that supports and stimulates a child's growth in all areas of development. It is rich with experiences in art, music, movement, science, language arts, and math, with plenty of room for nurturing individual interests. Teachers feel it's important for children to build their understandings through their own individual experiences, thus enabling them to think for themselves and question thoughtfully. In this way, the children know they are competent to learn, to grow and to trust themselves, and others.
