Meet the Staff

Cindy Kreisberg

Cindy Kreisberg, RPAC, Director of the Student Health Center

Cindy Kreisberg became the director of the Student Health Center in the fall of 1997. Cindy is a physician's assistant with more than twenty-five years of experience in internal medicine and pediatrics. She earned her B.S. in biology and psychology from Syracuse University and her degree as a physician's assistant from Pennsylvania State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Mark Polisar

Mark Polisar, MD, Clinical Director

Dr. Polisar joined the Student Health Center staff as clinical director in the fall of 2001. He is a board-certified Family Practitioner with degrees from Yale University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Polisar is currently an attending physician at Montefiore Medical Group-Williamsbridge Family Health Center, and has a faculty appointment in the Family Medicine Department of Montefiore Medical Center.

Rosemary Weingarten

Rosemary Weingarten, RN, FNP, Women’s Health Provider

Rosemary joined the Student Health Center as our Women's Health Provider in the spring of 2005. She has more than twenty-five years of nursing experience in maternity, labor, and delivery, and is an adjunct clinical professor at Pace University and NYU. She is also on staff at Planned Parenthood in men’s and women’s health and family planning. Rosemary earned her B.S.N., M.S., and F.N.P. from Pace University.

Michelle Marrero

Michelle Marrero, Medical Administrative Assistant

Michelle joined our staff in the spring of 2005 as the Student Health Center's Medical Administrative Assistant. She earned her B.S. in Health Services Administration from Lehman College.

Kate Greenberg

Kate Greenberg, MA, CHES, Director of Wellness & Health Education

Kate Greenberg joined the staff as the Director of Wellness & Health Education in the fall of 2007. She is licensed as a Certified Health Education Specialist and has spent several years developing health education programs in the NYC Public School system and for not-for-profit organizations. She served on the New York City Comptroller’s Task Force to create and revise the Department of Education’s HIV/AIDS curriculum for grades K-12. Kate earned her B.S. in education from Indiana University and her M.A. in health education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Michele Sandone

Michele Sandone, MS, RD, Dietician

Michele is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association. She earned her B.S. in nutrition from Rutgers University and her M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from N.Y.I.T. Michele worked at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx as the Clinical Nutrition Coordinator for four years, developing and implementing nutrition programs for Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and HIV departments. In 2006, she founded Innovative Nutrition Options, LLC, a nutrition counseling and consulting practice in Hackensack, NJ.
