Lehman College, the only four-year college of the City University of New York located in the Bronx, is a liberal arts college that prides itself on a distinguished faculty and a dynamic student body of diverse backgrounds and ages. More than 90 nationalities are represented among Lehman's students. Classes are offered days, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the schedules of students who continue to work while pursuing degrees.
All students must apply online directly to Lehman through CUNY's online application process.
Requirements to be Considered a Veteran
- You have engaged in active duty in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard or as a member of the National Guard or Reserves who was called to active duty for purposes other than training, or were a cadet or midshipman at one of the service academies.
- You were released under a condition other than dishonorable discharge.
- Students currently serving in the Active Reserve Forces, or who are entitled to benefits accrued in the reserve component, while not technically veterans, are entitled to many benefits.
Resident Tuition Rates
Resident Tuition Rates apply to all members of the armed services on full-time active duty who are stationed in New York State, as well as their spouses and dependent children.

- Applied for New York State Vietnam/Persian Gulf Veterans Tuition Award
- Applied for New York State Veterans Tuition Award, if eligible
