Nate Wainwright, who has worked for three teams in the National Football League (NFL), has joined the Lehman staff as associate director of athletics. He was executive administrator and manager of football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs (2006-2008) and the New York Jets (2001-2005), serving under Head Coach Herman Edwards. Prior to that, he worked for the New Orleans Saints from 1998-2000.

"Nate's ten years of NFL administrative and coaching experience and his knowledge of college athletics will only serve our department in many positive ways," said Director of Athletics Dr. Martin Zwiren, in making the announcement.

Wainwright also looks forward to this new opportunity to work in collegiate sports. "I am thrilled to be a part of the Lehman College athletic staff," he said. "I feel that with my management skills and the outstanding athletic facilities we have at Lehman, I can help make a difference in the future of the athletic program and assist our coaches and student-athletes become the best that they can be."
