24/7 Chat Reference Service

The Leonard Lief Library is pleased to offer a new 24/7 Chat service on our website. The "Ask Us!" chat service is open around the clock - even weekends and holidays.

This service provides immediate assistance to students and faculty using the Library remotely, especially as they access electronic resources for course assignments and research. E-mail, phone and in-person reference are other ways of reaching Lehman's reference librarians through "Ask Us!"

Beginning a chat session is easy. Simply click on "Ask Us!" on the library homepage:
http://www.lehman.edu/library/ask-us.php

Choose "24/7 Chat" - and within seconds, a Lehman librarian or librarian from CUNY or our global network will respond with a greeting acknowledging your question.

Please try it - then let us know what you think.

Research Guides

The Leonard Lief Library is pleased to launch a new service called Research Guides to help students conduct their research. Research Guides is an online service students can use to find information on academic subjects (Education, Social Work, etc.).

These guides contain listings of resources for finding information, such as databases (for finding articles), books, webpages, or other useful resources recommended by subject librarians. Through Research Guides, library faculty can also create course-specific guides to provide students with information taught in a library research workshop.

To truly understand Research Guides, one should see it in action: http://libguides.lehman.edu/

We’d love to hear your response to this new service! Please direct feedback to:

iPads

The Leonard Lief Library is pleased to announce the launch of our Circulating iPad Program. Using Student Technology Fee funds - we were able to purchase seven iPads for student use.

As of Friday, March 30th - Lehman students may borrow iPads from the Reserve Desk for one-day loan use within the Library.

Our goal in initiating this exciting new service is to respond to high demand for these items from our students.

We welcome your comments!
