Join the New York City Writing Project (NYCWP) on Saturday, March 28, 2015 for our 17th Annual Teacher-to-Teacher Conference (#T2T15). This full day of engaging, interactive professional learning features 16 innovative workshops, 10 exciting panels, and a keynote address from educator/slam poet Taylor Mali. All presentations are by current educators from NYC and surrounding areas. Participants receive credit for 7 hours of professional learning (toward the 175 required by some licenses) and leave with experiences, strategies and theory immediately applicable in classrooms of all content areas from grades preK-16. A group of NYCWP teachers meets every other Thursday at the Baccalaureate School for Global Education in Astoria, NY to build curriculum using the Youth Voices social-networking platform as a place for their students to share writing and multi-media creations.
