Ronald M. Bergmann
Vice President for Information Technology/Chief Information Officer
Ronald Bergmann became vice president for Information Technology and chief information officer in July 2010. Previously, he served as first deputy commissioner of the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. He holds a B.S. degree from Union College and an M.S. degree from the New School. Ron is a Fellow of the EDUCAUSE/CLIR Frye Leading Change Institute and was named as one of the nation’s Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers by the Center for Digital Education.
Vincent W. Clark
Vice President for Administration and Finance
Vincent W. Clark joined Lehman College as vice president for Administration and Finance in July 2010. Previously, he served as the senior chief executive for field services for the New York City Department of Education. A graduate of both LaGuardia Community College and York College, he holds a B.A. in political science. He earned an M.P.A. in public administration from New York University.
Susan E. Ebersole
Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Lehman College Foundation
Susan E. Ebersole became vice president for Institutional Advancement and director of the Lehman College Foundation in March 2018. Previously, she served as Director of Leadership Gifts for the New York Philharmonic. She holds a B.A. degree from Goshen College and an M.F.A. from Hunter College.
Chief of Staff
Dawn Ewing Morgan is chief of staff to President José Luis Cruz. She joined Lehman College in 1993 as the Equal Employment/Affirmative Action Officer. Mrs. Morgan received her B.S. degree in Health Science from Brooklyn College and her M.P.A. from Baruch College. She is a graduate of the Harvard University Institute for Higher Education Management Development Program.
Dr. Harriet (Niki) Fayne
Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Fayne became the Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2016. She most recently served as dean of Lehman College’s School of Education from 2011 to 2016. Prior to accepting the appointment at Lehman, she spent 16 years as Education Department chair before becoming the inaugural dean of the School of Professional Studies at Otterbein University in Westerville Ohio. Dr. Fayne holds a B.A. with a major in American Studies from Barnard College, a M.A.T. in Social Studies Education from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Columbia University.
Vice President for Student Affairs
José Magdaleno has been vice president of Student Affairs at Lehman since 1999. Prior to this, he was Lehman's dean of students. Mr. Magdaleno earned his B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from State University of New York at Binghamton, and his M.S.W. from Columbia University.
Deputy to the President for Strategic Initiatives
Gladys Maldoon joined Lehman College in August 2016. Prior to this, she was chief of Operations for the Office of the Provost at California State University at Fullerton. In that role, she worked with Dr. Cruz on several key initiatives, including Student Success, and the Academic Master Plan. She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from California State University at Fullerton.
Reine T. Sarmiento
Vice President of Enrollment Management and Associate Provost
Dr. Reine T. Sarmiento came to Lehman College in December of 2014 as vice president of Enrollment Management and associate provost. Previously, she served as assistant dean of Enrollment Services at LaGuardia Community College and Chief Operating Officer at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She received her bachelor’s degree in business at National University, a master’s degree in urban affairs from Hunter College and an executive doctorate in educational leadership administration and policy at Fordham University.
Interim Counsel to the President – Labor Designee
Esdras Tulier joined Lehman College in April 2018 as interim counsel to the President and Lehman College labor designee. He previously served as deputy to the vice president for Human Resources Management for the City University of New York. Mr. Tulier holds degrees from Brooklyn College and Rutgers University School of Law.
