Teacher
Professor Ruiz

Professor Ruiz has been a professor for more than ten years; he rates his experience in film making to be an eight out of ten. He studied film-making in college, and has always been interested in it. Ever since his early childhood, he remembers constantly going to the movies. In fact, his earliest memories are of the movies, and how he would see a College for nine years.

When thinking of a project, the questions that come to mind are: Is this interesting enough? Would it entertain the audience? If so, what kind of audience? From 5 years old to 65? The most important advice that he gives his students is to make a film that they love. If you make something that you like, everything else will fall into place. He feels that he connects with his students because they are always in his classroom. They come early to class, stay at lunch with him and even stay after school. He is extremely satisfied and proud of his student’s work. He says that they put in extreme effort and long hours, and at the end, it definitely pays off. His students work both in the classroom and outside as well. When they are in the classroom, they are usually editing and the rest of the group is outside filming, and then they switch.
