What We Do
The Academic Support Center for Excellence (ACE) offers workshops and tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students seeking to improve their skills in humanities-related subject areas.
Location & Hours
The Academic Support Center for Excellence (718-960-8175) is located in the Old Gym Building, Room 205.
Regular tutoring hours during the fall and spring semesters are the following: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Center is not open for tutoring when classes are not in session and when the College is closed. It may, however, be open for scheduled workshops. Please call the Center to confirm workshop hours.

Apply for a Tutor
Come by the Old Gym Building in Room 205 any time during our regular hours to fill out a tutor request form. You can also download an application, and drop it off in the office.
Workshops
We offer free workshops in a variety of areas including writing, and preparation for the CUNY Assessment Tests in reading and writing. For the complete current schedule of ISSP workshops, click here.
Learning Resources
ACE's facilities include a computer room, available for use by any Lehman student, featuring the following educational software:
- Ace Pro Reader, for improving reading speed and comprehension
- Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor, for building typing skills
Message to Faculty
If you are a Lehman faculty member, our professional staff can provide valuable supplementary services for your class, such as:
- in-class workshops (or separately scheduled workshops) on a range of topics, such as study skills, writing research papers, MLA and APA format, etc. Please feel free to request a workshop topic.
- individual consultations, and follow-up, with students in need of targeted academic support.
