SC1 Research Advancement Award PAR-08-026
For those PIs at an advanced stage of development who seek to increase their research productivity to be able to compete for non-SCORE support. PI engaged in state of the art biomedical or behavioral research, and has a record of peer- reviewed publications

SC2 Pilot Project Award PAR-08-027
Early stages of development and interested in testing a new idea and/or generating preliminary data or for more experienced investigators interested in switching to a different field of research. Mentorship from established scientists is required for beginning investigators. Former MBRS PIs may apply only if they are pursuing a new line of research and they have no other active external support.

SC3 Research Continuance Award PAR-08-028
Research Continuance Awards are for PIs who have been engaged in scholarly research are published and who seek to continue to conduct competitive research of limited scope.
